Nelka arrived at the shelter with which we are collaborating infested with ticks, full of fear, hyper-thin (she has recovered two kilos) and testing positive for leishmania. We don’t want to think about what happened to her in her previous life, but she, being a little podenquita… Fortunately, the leishmaniosis is controlled by taking a pill daily and she doesn’t have any more problems in that regard. Nelka is very good, a 10 dog, small in size, she gets along well with other dogs and is very affectionate with people.
